Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
